About Us

Destination Dakota Legal Careers (DDLC) is a nonprofit organization working to build a brighter legal future for South Dakota. Founded in 2024, we are creating a statewide network to connect students—especially those in rural, tribal, and underserved communities—with exciting and meaningful careers in the legal field.

From attorneys and court reporters to paralegals and tribal judges, DDLC introduces middle and high school students to the many ways they can make a difference through the law. We partner with schools, legal professionals, and community leaders to deliver hands-on programs, mentorship, and real-world career insights.

Whether it's hosting legal career days, launching after-school clubs, or bringing role models into classrooms, we help students see themselves in the justice system—and give them the tools to get there.
